Anyone know anything about this package ? They seem to be located in France, looks like their feedback on this item is good, and for around $1800 there isnt too much choice that I have found so far,
    Thanks

I am intersted in their stuff as well, I just bought a balancing machine with a non-functional computer dating back to 1993 so I am examining my options retrofit-wise. What shape of parts are you balancing?

well, you should be able to reduce response, with that, however, I am not certain how accurate that is. I believe most balancing machines use a force sensor, and have an intentionally flexible support in some direction. I bet it will work, but it depends on what balancing standard youa re goign for. If you are talking recip crap, you are golden. If you are talking API 4W/N (ISO G0.2 or better).. Walk AWAY.
In theory if I remember right, you only need two sensors for two balance planes, which will give you the ability to balance dynamically.
2 plane balancing is NOT possible with 1 Accelerometer, unless you move the acelerometer, or unless it can capture multiple degrees fo freedom. you have too many variables and not enough knowns. the only exception would be if you used multiple runs + trial weights to get influence coefficients.

I just bought a Hines HV balancing machine that has hard bearing suspension, one sensor (I'm not sure what it measures, looks like displacement to me) and it claims (according to the manual) to be able to perform two plane balancing. My parts are like brake drums so I am doing single plane balancing.

There were a couple very long threads here a couple years ago on the topic, and a member put his own design system on the market for much less than the usual suspects. I wasn't able to find them, but my search mojo is weak.

So the Ebay ad is for a single plane balancing solution it appears. To do two plane balancing we always had 2 accelerometers. The kit only comes with 1 as far as I can tell. The software is 2 channel though. What will you be balancing? We balanced fan rotors in place as big as 15K lbs and HP up to 5K using IRD equipment. If your goal is to balance small shafts with a single plane solution then the deal on Ebay might be just right. But to do in the field balancing of large equipment might be impossible with that setup. Our sensor cables were 20ft long for instance.

I have the product mentioned by Conrad Hoffman. The advantage of the USB Microbalance Affordable dynamic balancing is the two plane balancing with two accelerometers. It appears that the one mentioned by lalatheman has only one accelerometer. Generally my impellers turn between 14,000 and 20,000 rpm. It is generally preferable that a 7 kg impeller turning at 19,500 rpm be well balanced.
